The Preserve of Solon is a large development located just south of Aurora Road ( Route 43 ) in the central part of Solon. There are two entrances located off Liberty Road and another entrance located off Pettibone Road. The Preserve is just minutes away from the highway and also located in close proximity to local attractions such as the Solon Community Center, Solon Center for The Arts, local shopping, and the highly rated Solon Schools.

There are approximately 222 single family homes located within the Preserve of Solon. Homes here were built between 1992-2003 and range in price from around $300,000-$500,000. They average approximately 3200 square feet with 3 or 4 baths. Homes are predominantly colonial in style with a mix of 2 and 3 car garages.  There were many different builders who constructed homes in The Preserve such as Jaymark Homes, Kenco Construction, Kimball Hill Homes, Kingdom Development Corp., Perl Builders, and Preferred Builders, which means that each home is unique in their own special way. While some homes have standard finishes, there are many that have numerous upgrades throughout such as top of the line appliances, and granite counter tops. Many homes in the Preserve have  a first floor office and full finished basement.


There are quite a few cul-de-sacs located within The Preserve, many offering large private back yards and picturesque landscaping. Streets located within The Preserve are: Mayapple Circle, Nighshade Lane, Sedge Circle, Silkwood Lane, Spatterdock Lane, Spicebush Lane, Teasel Court, Waterpepper Circle, Witchhazel Lane, and Woodduck Court. 




The Preserve of Solon is a friendly neighborhood for both families as well as empty-nesters. There are sidewalks located throughout the development, making it convenient for outdoor activities. People relocating to Solon find it to be very desirable because of the affordable housing, neighborhood feel and location. Local move-up buyers find it to be everything they are looking for in their next home. There is a minimal yearly homeowners association fee for all residences of $230 that mainly covers common areas. Overall, The Preserve is a nice upscale subdivision with much to offer.
