Special Paint Could Help Your Home Sell

Spring paint by Benjamin Moore

As a real estate agent who specializes in home Staging, I need to stay on top of current trends.  My listings need to look fresh and current in order to appeal to today’s buyers.  Paint is one of the easiest and least expensive options to make a huge impression, but where does one go to begin their search?

I’m now going to share a big Staging and Decorating SECRETBenjamin Moore has a line of Pottery Barn Colors.  They come out with a new palette each season and are always the latest colors that are also safe choices.  This is such a great place to start and you can find this on their website.  Here you can not only see the latest color palette, but also see it in decorated rooms to better help you envision it in your home.

Ask any decorator and they will tell you to use Benjamin Moore paints.  “The colors are more saturated and always look better,” they’ll say.  While I do prefer Benjamin Moore myself, there is no reason you can’t use those Pottery Barn color swatches to choose a comparable color in a less expensive brand of paint.  My only warning is to be sure the similar color has the same undertones or you may be sorry when it is all over your walls.

So, check out the Spring Pottery Barn colors at Benjamin Moore, add a fresh coat of paint, and your home will look its best. __________________________________________________________

Thanks as always for reading, Cindy. Amy will be writing a follow up post that will reveal a very cool tool that helps people pick the right color.

Thanks for great information. You inspired me to add the Color Visualizer as another part of my Color Story services.
Pottery Barn offers complimentary classes usually when the new catalogs are published. A small paint deck of that season’s colors are given to each participant. If you are fortunate enough to have a store in your area, they usually have several seasons of paint decks for the asking.

If anyone wants to sell their home, painting it first is one of the easiest and most dramatic ways to make the first impression on buyer. Fresh paint makes your house look clean, bright, and inviting.
